Youth Ministry

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4.12 (NIV)

What is a Youth Ministry?

youth group, or youth ministry, is a religious, age-specific group. It caters towards getting youth, typically ages 12-18, involved in faith-based activities and spiritual awakening. The youth church groups may also include individuals up to 30 years old who serve as leaders of the group that relate to the participants.

The teens involved in the youth group usually attend the church. Generally, someone within the church has organized a group to engage with young people regarding their faith and understanding of their beliefs. For example, a Christian youth group encourages involvement both within the church and the community as ambassadors for Christ as they grow and begin to learn and have more experiences.

The Role of Youth in Today’s Church

Investing in today’s youth is necessary in growing the body of Christ. Teaching young people in the church to grow in their relationship with the Lord prepares them to serve Christ in all they do. As a result, this nurtures the congregation and allows the church to flourish.

Serving young people cannot only prepare them to become future leaders, but also allow them to contribute to the church. This is seen many times in the Bible, as God often used young people to do great things. For example, God used Timothy to pastor and lead the Ephesian church when he was a teenager. 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

In addition, there is much to be learned from the faith of a child. Matthew 18:2-4 says, “He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.’” Because of God’s heart for young people, it is important to recognize their value in today’s church.

Hello
Welcome to the youth Ministry of HHM Pakistan! We are a passionate generation that live to bring the body of Christ together, to live in His light and to be the light to those around us. We belong to build a community that walks with Jesus and brings the goodness of God to the people we meet. Everyone is welcome!

Vision
To raise up a generation filled with a passion for Jesus, rooted in His Word, and empowered by His Spirit, to display His glory on earth, as it is in Heaven. (Inspired from 1 Peter 2:9)

Mission
Our five-fold mission is inspired from the words of Jesus in Matthew 22:36-40 (The great commandment) & Matthew 28:18-20 (The great commission)

1. We Worship: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart.”
2. We Connect: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
3. We Reach Out: “Go and make disciples”
4. We Transform: “Baptizing them”
5. We Encourage: “Teaching them to obey”

We use this as our anchor, as we hold steadfast to the promises and commandments of God and work to live in His fullness.

 Social Activities

In addition to the spiritual content, Christian youth meetings in Pakistan often include various social and recreational activities, such as games, sports, music, and drama. These activities provide opportunities for young Christians to bond with one another and build friendships, as well as to develop their skills and talents in a supportive and encouraging environment.

One of the primary goals of Christian youth meetings in Pakistan is to help young people develop a strong and vibrant faith that is relevant to their daily lives. This includes teaching them how to apply biblical principles and values to their relationships, their studies, and their career aspirations, as well as equipping them to be effective witnesses for Christ in their communities.

However, Christian youth meetings in Pakistan also face many challenges and obstacles. Christians in Pakistan are a minority group, and they often face discrimination and persecution from the larger Muslim community. This can make it difficult for young Christians to gather and worship together, and many churches and Christian organizations have had to take extra security measures to ensure the safety of their members.

Despite these challenges, Christian youth meetings in Pakistan continue to be an important part of the Christian community in the country. They provide a space for young people to grow in their faith, build relationships, and develop skills and talents that will enable them to serve God and make a positive impact in their communities.
